Are you looking for your new career? NewGen Administrative Services is now hiring an Accounts Receivable Consultant (ARC) to be the newest member of our awesome team!
As an ARC, you will supervise, train, and develop the Business Office Manager (BOM) and Business Office Assistant (BOA) to maintain accurate billing and collection of accounts receivable, including Private, Medicaid, Medicare, Hospice, VA, and Managed Care. The position trains on all aspects of billing, eligibility, claims, banking, accounting, and EMR software. You will report to the Director of ARC / RCM Systems and may be required to travel locally and out of area, including overnight travel.
Pay Range
Pay Range : $85k - $100k DOE
Responsibilities
- Train BOM and BOA in technical knowledge and skills.
- Teach all aspects of billing, claims, banking, accounting, and EMR software.
- Teach eligibility, authorizations, billing, and follow-up processes for all payer types (Medicaid, Medicare, commercial).
- Teach private account collection, including small claims court, collection agencies, and referrals.
- Work with facility to improve billing processes such as Triple Check and PPS.
- Recruit and interview candidates for BOM and AOM positions.
- Make recommendations on hiring, performance management, and termination of Business Office personnel.
- Support BOM in supervising and developing their AOM.
- Prepare exit reports with the Administrator after each visit.
- Visit each facility monthly.
- Attend Triple Check and PPS at each facility at least once per quarter.
- Attend A-Z aging review with BOM and Administrator once per quarter.
- Review 120+ day aging with each BOM once per month.
- Complete month-end close with each facility each month.
- Maintain software and perform new facility and user setup.
- Understand P&Ls at a general level.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Education : High School graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred.AR / Business Office experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility – required.3-5 years of experience as an AR Consultant.Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing.Experience in private collection.Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Empathy and customer-service orientation.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, staff, and external resources.Physical ability to lift 25 lbs, stand, walk, bend, squat, push, stoop, and pull as needed.Ability to manage mental and emotional stress of the position.Compliance with health requirements.Who We Are
