About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Department Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Emergency Department

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 hour day / night rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : At least 1 year of previous ER experience is required.

License : ND State or compact nursing license required.

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS required.

Must-Have : Prefer some cardiac knowledge.

Description :

Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process.

Directs patient and family teaching.

Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.

Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Utilizes EPIC- ASAP Module for computerized charting and medication administration.

Variable schedule; will not work alone as there will always be someone present.

Every 3rd weekend is required.

Will not float to other units or departments.

Nurse to patient ratio depends on the busyness of the Emergency Department.

Black scrubs are required for the dress code.

Additional training will be provided as part of the hospital and department orientation.

Flu shot is required for this position.
