Assistant Site Manager
High Tech High in Point Loma seeks an Assistant Site Manager who will assist with coordinating the day-to-day operations of a public charter school. Assistant Site Manager is our front-facing position that greets all staff, students, and visitors that enter the building each day. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Spanish, are strongly desired.
Duties Included :
- Maintenance of student files and records in a computerized database as well as physical files.
- Answering correspondence, composing newsletters / handbooks, distributing mail, and generating reports
- Coordinating meetings and building use with the facilities department
- Maintaining master school calendar and filing systems
- Track all student attendance and report truancy or absentee problems
- Order office supplies and equipment for faculty general use; maintain office fax, copy and other mailroom equipment.
- Greeting and providing assistance to all staff, students, parents, community members, callers and visitors to the school.
- Answer the main phone line, provide information, take and deliver messages and direct callers to appropriate persons.
- Assist visitors, answer inquiries, provide information and direct to appropriate school areas.
- Diffuse conflicts and / or difficult situations as needed in the school office. Monitor students sent to the school office for disciplinary reasons.
- Monitoring building visitors, visitor sign-in procedures and building activities including crisis situations such as building evacuations, lockdowns, emergency situations and safety procedures.
- Duties may include, absence reporting and hourly time clock entries and adjustments.
- Duties may include, providing back-up coverage to other positions, registering new students, assisting students in the health clinic and contacting parents / guardians as necessary.
