We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Food Scientist to join our R&D Dressings and Sauces team. You would assist in developing new product prototypes and participate in new trials. Perform various tests on raw materials, competitor samples and bench samples / products. Implement proper work practices and maintain equipment per standard.
Duties
- Develop sauces, dressings and dips per project requirements and parameters
- Manage multiple projects at once with fluctuating timelines and varying degrees of difficulty
- Implement technically sound, safe and sanitary work practices per standards
- Maintain inventory of supplies and raw material ingredients for R&D use
- Conduct sensory panels and organize sample reviews with cross-functional teams
- Perform and maintain routine shelf-life tests
- Create nutritional profiles and specifications for new products developed
- Maintain documentation for all approved ingredients and vendors for Dressings and Sauces
- Review and approve labels of all new products in conjunction with R&D Director
- Organize and set up quality audit tests, equipment and raw materials
- Manage sales samples programs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field5+ years of food product development experience - MUST have some experience in Sauces or Dressings or MayonnaiseExperience in manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of food safety regulations and ingredient functionality
