Job description

Overview

We are looking to add a Low Voltage Cable Technician to become part of our team! You will install new cat6 cable in commercial buildings and data communication systems.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of communication systems
  • Install voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions.
  • Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions.
  • Be punctual and responsible to work on your own.
  • Relocate telephone and computer cabling (run new cables when necessary)
  • Rack switches bring headend up online
  • Terminate and certify cables

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in telecommunications; able to work with little supervision.
  • Familiarity with low voltage cable, terminating 568B jacks.
  • Be able to read prints and follow scope of work.
  • Primarily working in hospitality environments.
  • Scissor lift experience is helpful.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel out of state for one / two weeks at a time.
