Job Summary :
The Bar Back is responsible for supporting the bartending staff by assisting with various tasks, such as restocking supplies, cleaning the bar area, and ensuring that customers have a positive experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Duties & Responsibilities :
Assist the bartenders and cocktail servers by greeting guests and offering beverages when they are assisting other guests.Stocks, fills and provides guests with bar snacks upon orders being placed.Assists bar team with clearing China, glassware, and silverware.Cleans and polishes glassware throughout the shift to ensure the inventory stays stocked throughout each shift.Assists bartenders with restocking beverages and supplies throughout each shift.Responsible for carrying dirty dishes from the dining room to the stewarding area as needed.Answers questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.Communicates with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice.Monitors and observe guest's experience; ensure guests are satisfied with the food.Always maintain a neat and clean work environment; ensure overall bar and lounge ambiance is maintained throughout each shift.Oversees our guests' experience following Piccolo's and IHP's standards of service.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Abilities :
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent customer service skills.Basic Mathematical skills.A basic knowledge of food & beverage procedures and functions.Education & Experience :
High school diploma o equivalent required.Previous hospitality experience preferred.Ability to complete Responsible Vendor course.Physical Requirements :
Ability to safely lift and easily maneuver multiple plates of food and carry bus tubs frequently weighing up to 25 pounds.Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back is required.Prolonged time of standing and walking 95% of the workday.Must have a flexible work schedule and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.The employee signature below indicates the employee's understanding of the requirements, essential functions, and duties of the position.
