PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Adults (95%), Pediatrics (5%)
  • Patient Volume / Census : Average 10 cases per week
  • Admissions : No
  • Rounding : Required on weekends for inpatients as needed
  • Phone Consults : Yes
  • Case Mix : General Urology; Testicular torsion for pediatric cases

  • EMR System : Epic
  • Office Equipment Available : Standard urology equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available : APP / Mid-levels available weekdays 8a 4 : 30p
  • Support Staff Available : PAs and NPs for initial consults and case prep
  • Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : 60 days

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • General Urologic Procedures (emergent as needed)
  • Testicular Torsion (pediatric cases)
  • Emergency surgical interventions not handled by APPs

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Pennsylvania medical license
  • Board : Board Certified in Urology
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS
  • Experience : Minimum 5 years in specialty
  • Other Qualifications : Ability to work 7-day call blocks (Monday to Monday)

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology emergencies across 3 hospitals (within 10-mile radius)
  • Respond to consults, emergent surgeries, and APP escalations
  • Perform weekend rounding for inpatients as needed
  • Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff to manage urology cases
  • Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
