2026-27 Assistant HS Student Council Advisor (open until filled)

REQUIREMENTS :

Education : Bachelors degree in Education.

Experience : None. One year of Student Council advisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements : Eye-hand mind-eye coordination physical dexterity the ability to bend stoop walk talk and sit. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Other Requirements : Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in organization public relations and time management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES :

• Responsible for maintaining an active student council.
• Supervises and conducts election of members from student body.
• Monitors meetings held during and / or outside the school day.
• Determines and monitors eligibility of all members.
• Facilitates communication between staff students and parents.
• Advises and guides in the organization promotion and implementation of student social activities and community service activities.
• Operates within District and SDHSAA policies.
• Supervises all student council activities.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the Trust & Agency Account.
• Responsible for coordinating fundraising activities with Activities Director or Principal.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
