As a Senior Software Engineer at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in driving significant transformation across our organization.

What You'll Do :

Collaborate within Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using modern full-stack development tools and technologies.

Stay at the forefront of technology by sharing your insights, experimenting with new tools, participating in tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers.

Work alongside digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in achieving their financial goals.

Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a range of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree.

At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not count).

Preferred Qualifications :

5+ years of experience in at least one of the following : Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.

1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.

3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.

2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this position range from $158,600 to $181,000. This salary information is specific to candidates hired to work in McLean, VA. Salaries for other locations may vary based on their respective pay ranges.

This position may also qualify for performance-based incentives, such as cash bonuses or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary based on the relevant compensation plan.
