Overview

The Die Cast Engineering Manager will lead engineering initiatives within the die casting manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and innovation. This role requires expertise in project planning, die design, and process control, with a strong background in Japanese automotive manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, and development of die casting dies and trim tooling.
• Ability to develop annual and semi-annual action plans that correspond with the company initiatives.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects and reduce carbon footprints.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry, company standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage engineering projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Submit proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocate funds from department budget.
