Senior Estimator

Job Title :

• Senior Estimator Location : Dallas, TX Department : Estimating Department Reports to : Director, Estimating   At Moss Utilities we specialize in underground utility installations.
• Our project capabilities and experience include commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure projects all over the DFW Metroplex.
• While Moss Utilities was founded in 2016, the Moss family has a legacy in the utility construction industry in Dallas-Fort Worth dating back to the early 1900's.
• Come join the Moss Utilities journey and family legacy.  A Senior Estimator should have heavy civil construction skills and an experience in estimating commercial & private development projects.
• Ideally, will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, etc.
• Responsibilities Estimating self-performed projects which typically range up to 20 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.
• Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Ability to assess site exposures / construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
• Identify constructability issues through the estimating process.
• Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives.

Education And / or Work Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar) 5+ years heavy civil estimating Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel HCSS / Planswift / Bluebeam Experience Preferred Strong organization and planning skills Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines What you get from working at Moss :
