Reports To : President / Clinical Director Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced, fully licensed North Dakota and Minnesota clinician (LPC, LCSW, LPCC, LICSW) to join our team. This position is best suited for a practitioner who is already independently licensed, passionate about trauma-informed therapy, and ready to manage an outpatient caseload independently and grow their (take out own) client base. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy while maintaining accurate documentation through the SimplePractice EHR platform. Key Responsibilities : Clinical Care & Therapy Maintain a manageable outpatient caseload using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations. Offer specialized treatment for clients experiencing complex trauma, including first responders. Crisis Intervention & Risk Management Assess and address crisis situations, including suicide risk and safety planning. Provide immediate support for high-risk cases and coordinate with emergency services. Deliver interventions for first responders experiencing acute stress, PTSD, or trauma-related conditions. Collaboration & Case Coordination Partner with medical providers, psychiatrists, and first responder agencies (Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, Emergency Medical Services, Public Safety telecommunicators, etc.) to expand access and enhance treatment. Support trauma-focused and crisis response services while maintaining coordination with community health resources as appropriate. Compliance & Documentation Complete accurate, timely documentation in SimplePractice EHR. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, legal, ethical, and professional standards. Professional Development & Advocacy Stay current with continuing education in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices. Contribute to law enforcement collaboration initiatives and community mental health programs. Advocate for mental health accessibility, especially within trauma-exposed populations. Qualifications : Must hold an independent license to practice in the State of North Dakota (LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent). If not already licensed in Minnesota, the clinician must obtain Minnesota licensure within 12 months of hire. 3-5 years post-Masters clinical experience preferred with the ability to work independently without supervision required. Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed treatment, with proficiency in at least one recognized modality, such as : Somatic Practices Internal Family Systems (IFS) Crisis Intervention and Management (CISM) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for trauma populations Strong ability to tailor interventions to clients experiencing complex trauma, including first responders and trauma-exposed populations. Familiarity with SimplePractice EHR or similar platforms preferred. Strong communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills. Local candidates strongly preferred.
