About The Position

Job Title : RN Cath Lab Per Diem

Location : Shasta Regional Medical Center California

Position Summary :

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join our Per Diem Cardiovascular Laboratory team . The RN provides direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. This role supports physicians, monitors patients physiologic and hemodynamic status, and ensures safe, efficient procedural flow within the Cath Lab.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

Continuously monitor and document patient condition, hemodynamic status, and procedural progress.

Communicate with the physician and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and care needs.

Prepare, assess, and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring readiness and proper equipment function.

Assist with setup and operation of hemodynamic monitoring, recording, and imaging systems.

Administer medications and contrast agents under physician direction.

Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and radiation safety standards.

Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications (Legally Required) :

Active California RN License required

BLS (AHA) certification required

ACLS (AHA) certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care unit required per company policy

Experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Electrophysiology (EP) Lab preferred, not required

Shift Details : Type : Per Diem

Schedule : Variable, based on departmental needs
