With innovation at our core, we are expanding our team and looking for a standout Business Development Representative to lead our outreach to the AEC community. About the Role This is not your typical sales job. As our Business Development Representative, you will be the face of APC to architects, engineers, and construction leaders. Your focus? Opening doors, building trust, and positioning APC as the go-to partner for precast education, specification, and design integration. This role combines outbound sales energy with technical acumen and customer service finesse. You'll drive growth by educating design firms, generating demand, and helping ensure APC is specified in the earliest phases of project development. What You’ll Do Generate leads and build strong relationships with A&E firms across California. Conduct consistent outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Host impactful Lunch & Learns, firm visits, and webinars that educate and inspire. Present APC's value proposition in early design phases to get our products specified. Guide clients through product selection, technical details, and design integration. Act as the voice of the client internally—coordinating with estimating, production, and drafting. Support business development strategies by attending trade shows, AIA events, and industry mixers. Track progress, forecast activity, and update CRM systems to ensure follow-through. Who You Are A confident communicator who thrives on relationship-building. Experienced in construction, AEC products, or architectural systems (especially precast or modular). A strong presenter—in person and virtually. Comfortable reading architectural / structural drawings and translating them into sales conversations. Skilled in outbound calling and lead generation. Technically savvy : proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and (bonus) AutoCAD or Revit. Highly professional, organized, and customer-focused. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. for presentation kits and samples. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or AEC product rep roles. Bachelor's degree in Business, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Knowledge of precast or building systems is a major plus. Why APC?
