Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent outpatient experience and an active Ohio PT license.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient setting working with orthopedic, post-op joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, mild neurological, and geriatric patients
  • Typical caseload of 10–12 patients per day for eight-hour shifts
  • Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8 or 10 hours, ranging from 7 am to 6 pm depending on shift length
  • No weekend, on-call, or overtime shifts
  • Required to work every other holiday
  • Use of transfer equipment including Sara Steady and Hoyer
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Pass / fail EKG testing required on the first day, with up to two attempts allowed and study guides provided
  • Pewter gray scrubs are the required dress code
  • Every other holiday shift coverage is expected
  • First-time travelers will be prescreened prior to manager interview and offer

    • Requirements

  • Current Ohio Physical Therapist license in good standing required if applicable
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required; doctorate degree preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
  • Certification in a specialty area such as OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women’s Health is preferred
