User Experience (UX) Designer (Amplify Education, Inc., Brooklyn, NY) :

  • Design user experiences for new and existing web-based educational software applications;
  • Design user interfaces in software applications informed and validated by research and data;
  • Develop user stories, wire frames, interaction flows, mockups, and quick prototypes and polished visual design;
  • Gather user research and use findings to build initial designs and rapid prototypes for iterative user testing with teachers and students;
  • Create high fidelity prototypes;
  • Participate in software design review sessions with product owners and stakeholders;
  • Prepare and present mockups and wireframes to internal teams and key stakeholders;
  • Partner with design leads, product owners, and developers to craft new features for web-based software applications for teachers and administrators to use;
  • Prepare designs for review for internal teams and key partners;
  • Develop polished front-end designs for handoff to developers;
  • Leverage and evolve software design systems, craft visual details, and maintain guidelines to optimize software application product consistency;
  • Participate in problem solving and design to drive compelling user experiences and interfaces;
  • Collaborate closely with design and product leadership to define features and contribute to the overall direction of product;
  • Utilize Figma, Adobe CC, Sketch, InVision, and Zeplin;
  • Design desktop and mobile applications;

Utilize HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

Perform digital product design in education technology;

Design Accessibility features in digital products; and,

Liaise with customers to gather and document user experience.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field of study.

  • One (1) year of experience with Figma, Adobe CC, Sketch, InVision, and Zeplin; designing desktop and mobile applications;
  • HTML, JavaScript, and CSS; digital product design in education technology; designing Accessibility features in digital products;

and liaising with customers to gather and document user experience.

The salary range for this role is $89,253.00 - $132,667.00 / year. Telecommuting Permitted.
