Responsibilities

Assisting with bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving

Providing medication reminders

Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises

Helping clients move safely throughout their home

Providing dementia care

Performing housekeeping tasks (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, dishes, laundry, changing linens, bathroom cleaning)

Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions

Accompanying clients on errands and to medical appointments

Providing companionship (e.g., reading, music, puzzles, conversation)

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Minimum of six months' experience as a HHA and / or PCA in a healthcare setting (home or facility)

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Valid driver’s license and have their own reliable car with valid proof of car insurance
