The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. Our Urgent Care Centers are designed to provide walk-in service for minor conditions such as allergies, respiratory infections, sore throats, sports injuries, minor cuts and bruises, and various illnesses requiring immediate non-emergency medical care in the South Shore region south of Boston. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 6 months and up). We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week, and most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters. Our operating hours are weekdays from 8 : 00am-7 : 00pm, Saturdays from 9 : 00am-3 : 30pm, and Sundays 9 : 00am-1 : 00pm. We are seeking a per-diem Practice Assistant to join our Urgent Care teams in South Weymouth and Pembroke! Practice Assistants serve as the face of our medical group and play a key role in managing the patient experience on the reception / administrative support side.

Schedule Expectations : Our per-diem Practice Assistants are expected to commit to at least (36) hours worked per 4-week scheduling period. Ability to commit to a majority of weekday shifts (12 hours per shift) is strongly preferred. We are open weekends, so picking up shifts on Saturdays (7 hours per shift) and Sundays (5 hours per shift) is encouraged but not required. Additionally, we are open most major holidays, so we request coverage availability of one holiday per year. We are closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and New Years Day.

Job Summary : Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties.

Qualifications : Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Licenses and Credentials Certified Medical Administrative Assistant [CMAA] preferred. Experience 2-3 years office experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Proficiency with all Office Suite, Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing. Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and talking to others to convey information effectively. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing / editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages. Managing one's own time and the time of others. Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant medical administrative or clinical experience, particularly in fast-paced or high-volume settings.
