Business Development Manager / Outside Sales Representative

What You'll Do :
- Lead strategy Build and execute a government sales plan targeting federal, state, and local agencies as well as prime / subcontractor networks.
- Hunt for opportunities Identify, evaluate, and respond to bids on SAM.gov, Texas SmartBuy, municipal portals, and defense procurement systems.
- Build relationships Connect with procurement officers, purchasing agents, and supply chain leaders across government and industry.
- Leverage certifications Capitalize on minority-owned and supplier diversity programs to access set-aside contracts.
- Collaborate Partner with vendors, subcontractors, and primes to pursue joint ventures and team bids.
Qualifications :
37 years of business development or sales experience to the federal, state or local agenciesProven success in government sales or contract management (federal, DoD, state, or municipal).Hands-on experience with SAM.gov bid searching, RFP responses, and compliance.Familiarity with procurement laws, supplier certifications, and prime / subcontractor networks.Strong track record of winning bids and closing contracts in competitive, compliance-driven markets.Excellent communication and proposal writing skills.Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field).HOUWD51
