Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Vineland, NJ 08360 (Southern New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Assignment Length : 13-week nursing contract

Hours per Week : 36 (Full-time RN position)

Shift : Weekend and holiday rotation required (every other weekend and holiday)

Scrub Color : Steel Grey

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (within the last 6 months)

Experience with postpartum couplet care required

Active New Jersey or Compact RN License (pending licenses not accepted)

BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (must be valid for at least 30 days after start date)

Ability to complete all orientation requirements as scheduled (no rescheduling permitted)

Must attend both in-person and virtual orientation sessions as instructed

Requested Time Off (RTO) : No more than 3 days

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, including postpartum couplet care

Monitor and assess mothers and infants throughout labor, delivery, and recovery phases

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

Accurately document all patient care activities in a timely manner

Participate in required orientation, training, and ongoing nursing education

Adhere to hospital policies, clinical procedures, and healthcare safety standards
