About The Job :

The Category Manager-Mobile Equipment is responsible for developing, implementing, continuous improvement, communicating, and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for major / critical spend categories such as heavy equipment, construction equipment, rail, and mobile drills, to name a few.

What You'll Do :

• Work cross-functionally and align business partners (internal and external) to accomplish objectives and achieve organizational goals.
• Apply strategic sourcing and continuous improvement principles to sub-categories in the mobile equipment categories, supporting the Mobile Strategic Sourcing Manager.
• Leverage heavy industry category and supplier knowledge to identify new opportunities.
• Standardize and optimize processes where possible, identify and present observations and recommendations for improvements to leadership.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure programs align with business requirements and are achieving desired impacts.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need : Education :

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field is required, and an advanced degree is desirable.

Experience :

Successful, 7+ year track record in heavy industrial category management sourcing. Experience with key mobile categories is required (i.e., heavy equipment, off-road tires, oil & lubricants).
