Central Office Administrative Secretary
The purpose of this job is to contribute to the efficient and smooth operation of the Central Office in order to ensure it effectively supports the district's instructional program and overall mission.
Reports To : Superintendent
Supervises : N / A
Assist the Superintendent and administrative assistants with general office and clerical duties as needed.
Serve as receptionist for the Central Office :
Answer telephones courteously and direct calls appropriately.
Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner.
Respond to inquiries and requests for information in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain the Board Room and Professional Development Room calendars; coordinate scheduling and prepare spaces for meetings and events.
Type and prepare a variety of materials, including letters, memoranda, reports, minutes, and agendas, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Maintain organized filing systems, records, and databases as required.
Uphold confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the Central Office and district operations.
Maintain records and complete reports required by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), other agencies, and departments within the school district.
Assist the district with ALSDE compliance monitoring and accreditation processes.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Twelve-month position in accordance with the Board's salary schedule. Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the State Department of Education and / or Tarrant city Board of Education policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
