Technical System Analyst

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical System Analyst to support mission-critical systems for a major banking client. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise, systems analysis, and business acumen, with experience working in complex, regulated environments like banking or financial services. Key Responsibilities : Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and system architects. Analyze and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and system designs. Conduct system impact analysis, data mapping, and workflow modeling. Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and gap analysis. Support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design to implementation and testing. Assist in designing and documenting system interfaces, data flows, and integration points. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business needs. Troubleshoot system issues and support root cause analysis for production incidents. Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning and coordination. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and audit requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications : 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role. Solid understanding of banking or financial systems, such as payments, loans, core banking, or capital markets. Strong knowledge of systems analysis, SDLC, and technical documentation. Experience with data analysis, SQL, and data mapping across systems. Familiarity with API specifications (REST, SOAP) and system integration techniques. Ability to create detailed technical artifacts : data flow diagrams, system design documents, use cases, etc. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with core banking platforms, risk systems, or regulatory reporting tools. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar. Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus. Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SOX, AML, KYC, Basel III, CCAR, etc. Background in data governance or enterprise data management is advantageous.
