Position Overview

Jeweler’s Block Underwriter – Full‑time, exempt. Remote or hybrid across the U.S. This is the senior-most underwriting role in the Marine team, focusing on production excellence, portfolio quality, sales, operations, talent development, and strategy execution. Provides technical guidance to local teams and leadership on account strategy.

In This Role

• Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsement referrals.
• Achieve financial targets for overall growth and profitability; execute plans to meet results.
• Oversee junior underwriters on portfolio management and strategic underwriting decisions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements; maintain underwriting discipline.
• Develop new business opportunities with agents; promote the Hanover franchise.
• Contribute to broader strategy formulation with a focus on execution.
