Associate Director-Tech Product Management

Overall Purpose : Lead and supervise a team of professionals who define and drive the technical product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with market demands, and delivering customer-centric software solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities : Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following :

Technical Product Vision and Strategy : Develop product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Roadmap Planning and Stakeholder Collaboration : Define and prioritize the product roadmap through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers.

Product Development and Requirements Management : Guide product development by detailing software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and support trade-off discussions and negotiations.

Customer-Centric Product Management : Ensure product viability and alignment with business goals by monitoring performance, serving as the voice of the customer, and ensuring a high-quality user experience.

Sprint Planning and Subject Matter Expertise : Participate in sprint planning, support feature refinement, and act as a subject matter expert within the organization for assigned products or product lines.

Job Contribution : Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Supervisor : Yes

Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree (BS / BA) desired in Computer Science. 5+ years of related experience.
