Job Summary :
The Document Controller is responsible for creating, maintaining, organizing, and updating documents and records for the Company and processing project deliverables in a timely and efficient manner between the Company, client, and vendors.
The position of Document Controller is unique in that it will allow you to create and help develop the company's most basic and complex document needs.
They will need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position will work closely with senior leadership to strategize and plan for each department.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Preparation of company proposals is the main priority (About 500 proposals per year).
- Preparation of change orders for all existing projects.
- Project closeout documentation.
- Maintaining proposal and all company templates.
- Assisting Sales with RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
- Formatting and assisting with all documents and creating templates.
- Continual audit and improvement of company documentation.
- Keeping up with industry standards.
- Answering phones per company lineup.
- Other duties as required.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Typing accuracy and efficiency
- Attention to detail to ensure documents are accurate and made to specifications.
- Organizational skills for document storage.
- Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience :
- A minimum of 3 years of document control experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe required.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
