Senior Depot Planner
Job Summary
The Planning and Production Control Depot Planner will perform a variety of business tasks in support of RMD Depot programs.
The candidate needs to be energetic, willing to learn, able to work independently and have the ability and desire to be a change agent.
This individual will manage multiple assemblies across multiple Value Streams in a fast-paced environment. Management of assemblies and the associated tasks listed below are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the program’s cost and schedule requirements.
This position will also support the accurate and compliant management of processes and records related to Government Furnished Material (GFM).
Responsibilities to Anticipate :
- Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet Depot production / customer requirements.
- Responsible to evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
- Responsible for the material management and tracking of GFM hardware from receipt of the material to shipment of end items.
- Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material supply.
- Authorizes factory work via Depot Service orders and follow that through to completion, including closure of service work orders.
- Receipt and issue of Depot hardware as well as managing inventory for Depot Repair
- Processing of GFM Scrap via Plant Clearance Process
- Support program screening and disposition efforts associated with contract close out.
- Coordinate and support inventory research and reconciliation.
- Support DCMA audits as needed.
- Understand the FAR in general terms as it applies to GFM / Depot
- Facilitate cross functional activities with Quality, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and coordinate some Logistics.
- Participates and lead continuous improvement efforts by collaborating with other departments.
Basic Qualifications :
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of two (2) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience with Rapid Response
- Experience working with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.
- Current DOD Security Clearance
- Critical thinking and data analysis skills to ensure detailed status provided to the Program, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented.
- Has good time management skills and knows how to stay organized.
- Strong SAP knowledge is desired.

Additional Information :
The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
