Job description

I nspyr Studios - Strength Coach

Where Training is Purposeful, Results are Earned, and Coaching is a Craft.

About Us :

Inspyr Studios is not your average group fitness gym. We’re a performance-based training facility in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, built on a mission to educate, empower, and push people toward stronger, more resilient bodies through smart programming and intentional coaching. Our team delivers well-structured workouts that challenge without needless complexity — no fluff, just effective movement and honest effort.

The Role :

We’re seeking a Strength Coach who takes pride in their craft — someone who understands movement, knows how to motivate, and brings energy without sacrificing quality. If you love helping others level up through intelligent programming and proper technique, you’ll fit right in.

As a Strength Coach at Inspyr Studios, your job is to :

  • Coach our group strength and conditioning sessions using pre-planned workouts designed by our Head of Strength Programming.
  • Educate and cue members on proper technique / and mechanics for a variety of exercises and modalities.
  • Engage with every member in the room : correct technique, encourage, and know when to push and when to hold back.
  • Represent the Inspyr brand inside and outside the studio : from team events to casual interactions, carry the same energy and integrity.
  • Contribute to our community by helping with member retention and becoming a consistent and reliable presence on the team.

What We’re Looking For :

  • A strong understanding of functional movement, strength training, and weightlifting principles.
  • Experience in group training or personal training (1+ years preferred).
  • Confidence coaching / managing up to 20 participants in a session while also providing individualized attention.
  • Ability to connect and communicate clearly with members across all fitness levels.
  • A growth mindset — willing to learn, adapt, and improve as a coach and teammate.
  • Requirements :

  • Current CPR / AED certification.
  • Valid fitness certification (NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc.).
  • Availability to coach early mornings (5 : 00 am–9 : 00 am) and / or evenings.
  • Ability to safely move and coach with equipment up to 40+ lbs.
  • Comfortable using a mic and commanding a room.
  • Desire to be part of a coaching-first culture, not just a workout leader.
  • Why Join Inspyr?

At Inspyr, we don’t chase trends — we build stronger, more capable bodies. Our coaches are trusted educators, and our workouts are carefully crafted to deliver meaningful results. If you’re passionate about movement, care about doing things the right way, and want to be part of a no-nonsense team that’s serious about coaching, we want to meet you.
