Job descriptionStore Lead Operations / Training : may serve as backup to Department Manager; understand and implement department work schedules; supervise and train Partners; participate in inventory control. Customer Service / Sales : provide customer service coaching; handle customer inquiries; support product recommendations to build department sales. Food Safety : ensure products are prepared and displayed according to procedures; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of sales floor and equipment. Additional Department-Specific Responsibilities : Bakery, Beauty, Deli, Prepared Foods, Produce, Texas Backyard, Floral, Seafood, Showtime, and other area-specific duties as assigned by Store needs. Minimum age 18; Associate's degree (AA) or 6+ months of related experience, or combination of education / training. 6+ months of related experience and / or training; completion of Company Orientation, food safety and sanitation training, and eCommerce Online Ordering training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Expert knowledge of department production stations, quality standards, setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment; ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Partners; ability to carry out written or oral instructions. Demonstrate ability to lift up to 60-85 lbs depending on department; ability to work in various conditions (wet, cold, hot, loud noise) as applicable to department duties.

Responsibilities
- Lead a well-stocked, well-maintained department and provide superior customer service.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities, such as scheduling work and training / developing Partners.
- Serve as backup to Department Manager; may help prepare department work schedules; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.
- Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product; address complaints; resolve issues; follow production plans and their execution.
- Train Partners; direct work; build and follow up on production plans; assist in all technical areas as needed; perform Representative / Specialist duties frequently.
- Provide coaching on superior customer service; take orders from customers by telephone or in person; answer product questions and assist with selections.
- Use suggestive selling techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales.
- Merchandise products effectively and ensure food safety processes are followed (slicing, packaging, labeling, rotation, quality checks; clean / sanitize areas and equipment).
- Support Bakery, Deli, Produce, Prepared Foods, and other department areas with relevant lead responsibilities as assigned.
