Lab Assistant Central Process

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Supervisor, is responsible for receiving and processing specimens. May assume duties of a Lab Assistant.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

CA Phlebotomy Technician 1 and BLS required.

Two years acute care hospital experience in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning.

Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

General typing / computer skills. Detailed oriented Self-starter.

Must have good attendance and no disciplinary issues.

Must have the ability to work well with others.

Preferred skills :

• CA Phlebotomy Technician 2 preferred

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
