Elementary Teacher - Itinerant, Erie County (Part-time)
Position Summary :
This position is responsible to plan, provide, and implement skill-based interventions to elementary level students that will result in students achieving academic success. The teacher will work collaboratively with other professional staff to implement a quality reading and / or math program that meets the needs of students needing intervention and / or enrichment by delivering small group instruction within established curriculum guidelines. This position will also be responsible for responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

Salary (2025-2026 school year) :
Bachelor's - $42.88 / hour
Master's - $45.46 / hour
Master's + 15 - $45.46 / hour
Qualifications Required :
- Valid and Active PA Teaching Certification enabling teaching of Elementary K-6 students

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district / school policy, and administrative regulation.Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.Plan and monitor purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s).Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.Performs other job related duties as required or assigned.Performance Factors / Job Competencies :

Plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.Utilize multimedia and computer technology as appropriate.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents.Skill in oral and written communication required, also excellent human relations skills.Ability to develop and maintain required records and reports.Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional classroom environment. Incumbent must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time as well as stand for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment utilizing computers to complete daily tasks. Due to travel, candidates are required to have a vehicle and valid driver's license to support multiple schools for these services.
