Expected pay for this position is $21.93 - $28.71 / hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

Overview

This position is available to individuals currently enrolled in or graduated from the Limited Licensure Rad Tech program from Control the Dose Program. Opportunties are available at various OSF OnCall clinics across the Peoria area.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Limited Diagnostic Radiographer Care Guide is responsible for patient registration, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, preparing patients for radiologic procedures, performing x-rays within their scope, discharging, and following up with patients. It is a role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting, working closely with the provider and other clinical staff. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families' significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. This position requires floating to various facilities.
