BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a dedicated Audit Liaison for a dynamic role pivotal in supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Comptroller OUSD(C).
Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.
This position is critical in delivering exceptional audit response services, leveraging the Audit Response Center (Arc) tool to streamline and enhance the audit processes.
Location : National Capital Region, Mark Center Alexandria (Hybrid : Ability to come into the office one to two days per week required)
Responsibilities :
- Utilize the Audit Response Center (Arc) tool effectively to manage and respond to audit inquiries and tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the Program team, including OUSD(C) Comptroller team, to ensure accurate and timely audit responses.
- Plan and lead assignments related to audit responses, ensuring high-quality results.
- Serve as a technical and functional expert in audit response strategies and the Arc tool.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for audits.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the audit response process for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in audit response, worked with an audit company, worked on sample audit requests, or a closely related field.
- Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher.
- Strong understanding of audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using the Audit Response Center (Arc) tool and other relevant software.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Preferred location in the National Capital Region with the flexibility to work from the Mark Center Alexandria office one to two days per week.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working within the external auditors
- Proven track record of successfully managing and responding to audits in a federal government setting.
