MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group - Weight Loss

Part-time, benefits eligible. Will work 2-3 days / week. Hours are variable.

LOCATION : 1331 W 75th street, Suite 201, Naperville

Hours : Clinic is open from 6 : 45am-6pm during the week. Occasional Saturday 1 / 2 day. Must be flexible with schedule.

Come join a team that is changing lives across the western suburbs. We are seeking qualified Medical Assistants eager to assist patients along their weight-loss journey.

Working alongside a team of caregivers, Medical Assistants working within the Weight Loss Clinic assist patients through their visit.

From arrival to discharge, MAs prepare patients for their encounter with one of the weight-loss providers. Taking accurate medical history, assessment of vital signs, EMR documentation, patient messaging and assisting with physical examination / injections.

The Weight Loss Clinic is a fast-paced environment where care is delivered between multiple office locations (Naperville, Plainfield and Woodridge).

SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE : This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus (grossed up). The first $500 will be paid at your 6 month mark of employment and the remaining $500 will be paid at the end of one year.

Position Requirements include :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred : Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
  • Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
  • Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation
  • Prior work experience as a medical assistant is highly preferred
  • CAN ALSO CONSIDER A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT, PCT, OR EMT-B
