Remote Associate Director, Data Science & Analytics, Digital Americas SALARY : $160k-$180k+ bonus Must live within 500 miles of NYC LOCATION : NYC (SoHo) OVERVIEW The Associate Director, Data Science & Analytics will champion the consumer experience across all online channels through data driven strategies. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of the role that Data Science can play in retail and ecommerce, applying advanced analytic data modeling and machine learning to all areas of the digital business to drive KPI optimization. This role will champion and lead extensive analysis of the online business, provide maintenance of brand web analytics tools and will serve as a team expert in digital analytics spanning Web, Mobile, Social, Email and Media to drive acquisition, retention and brand loyalty. In close collaboration with the local and global Digital teams, this role will help deliver a complete picture of performance and assist in the growth of ecommerce. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the creation and implementation of best practices for statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics to support the Digital Americas business. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of predictive and AI / ML models (e.g., churn prediction, price elasticity, LTV forecasting) that drive measurable business impact. Provide hands-on technical leadership in data science, machine learning, and data engineering; contribute to model design, algorithm development, and scalable MLOps practices. Collaborate with Global teams to assess and enhance overall data architecture, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Champion the prioritization of Americas requests in Globally owned systems, from ticket / request development through proper implementation, QA and rollout Lead the integration of Americas third party tools with DWH, Liftlab and any other Analytics team-led systems. Partner with Digital Americas stakeholders to optimize data collection, define actionable insights, and guide data-driven decision-making. Champion web and digital analytics, including A / B and multivariate testing, KPI development, and performance measurement across digital platforms. Manage web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) audits and measurement frameworks; ensure accurate tagging, tracking, and reporting for all key metrics. Oversee third-party relationship with data / analytics-related vendors from implementation to program management and optimization Develop and maintain dashboards, forecasting models, and analytical reports to support revenue growth, visibility, and accountability. Analyze and communicate website and business performance metrics, delivering actionable insights to optimize marketing, product, and digital experience. Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in analytics, AI, and predictive modeling to continually elevate team capabilities. Manage and mentor the Business Analyst, fostering growth, collaboration, and analytical excellence. Support ad hoc analytical requests and cross-functional reporting needs as required. Interfaces / Relationships Close alignment with the Americas business stakeholders including Marketing, Product Planning, IT and Operations. Collaboration BSD HQ CRM & Analytic teams from a support perspective. Internal interface to business stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Content, Category Management). Qualifications EducationBachelor’s Degree Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field Work experience8–12 years of experience in eCommerce and Digital Marketing Data Science & Analytics, with a proven record of driving measurable business impact. Strong technical foundation in SQL, Python, and / or R (experience with SAS a plus); advanced proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimental design. Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), big data tools (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake), ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Skilled in web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Omniture) and translating digital KPIs into actionable business insights. Familiarity with MLOps, CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control (Git). Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights. Excellent communicator — adept at delivering both detailed analytical reports and concise executive summaries. Collaborative and proactive team player who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapts effectively to shifting priorities.
