Grading Foreman

Position Summary

The Grade Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of grading crews.

This position ensures that grading work (cutting, filling, leveling, and compacting earth) is

performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, plans, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of grading crews and equipment operators
• Read project site plans and grade stakes to ensure work is completed to specification
• Plan daily grading tasks in coordination with project timelines and other trades
• Operate or oversee the operation of heavy grading equipment, including dozers, motor

graders, and GPS-controlled machinery when necessary.
