Patient Support Technician - Radiation Therapy - Days

Summary :
Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This is a dual position that includes the job responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician, a Cardiac Monitor Technician, a Visual Monitor, a Mental Health / Patient Care Technician, or a Unit Secretary.
Required Certification includes Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Minimum requirements include 6 months acute care experience or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience or a BayCare approved Nurse Assistant / PCT program;
- or BayCare PCT Boot Camp if attended a Nursing Assistant program without clinical hands-on patient care experience; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN Program;
or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only. If no experience / training in sterile technique; insertion and removal of urinary catheters, and IV reseal removal, a BayCare PCT Course and accompanying competencies must be completed within 90 days of hire.
