Position : Sales Account Manager - (Commodity Chemical Sales)

Job Description

This position involves building customer partnerships and growing existing business by understanding customer needs and the strengths and capabilities of the Company.

This position will develop and manage a sales territory and create a business plan based on our company’s strategic goals as well as uncover and close new business opportunities in the chemical distribution market.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve profitable revenue growth, including new business, while maintaining existing sales.
  • Achieve gross margin targets by employing a consultative sales approach that focuses on building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts.
  • Develop, execute, and manage a sales plan to develop new business, and manage current customer relationships.
  • Prospect for new business and identify new opportunities.
  • Conduct sales calls and actively grow the size of your territory.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, and operations to ensure proper inventory levels to meet customer expectations.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of sales experience preferably in chemical distribution sales (business to business preferred).
  • Well-developed communication skills (verbal, written and listening) and in-depth understanding of sales process.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve a high volume of daily activities.
