Certified Rehabilitation Counselor - Adolescent Behavioral Program

- Provide counseling and guidance in post-acute brain injury rehabilitation.
- Work with team of clinical professionals to develop functional activities for work readiness and work conditioning skills.
- Evaluate program participants through appropriate evaluation procedures and develop written treatment programs for each participant.
- Conduct interest inventories with program participants and review / compile program participants’ work history.
- Administer appropriate treatment programs and communicate program participant needs to appropriate team members.
- Coordinate program participants’ job site analysis; identify equipment / compensatory strategies and tools needed for program activity, including safety / work supervision needs and driving simulation screening as appropriate.
- Design, develop and coordinate functional activities that may include woodshop, greenhouse, simulated store, grounds / maintenance-related activities, food preparation / dining-related activities, housekeeping-related activities, housework-related tools / equipment, adaptive equipment, community-based activities, pre-work readiness activities, inventory, and supply of functional activities materials.
- Perform training and / or intervention in collaboration with various clinical team members which may include following therapy protocols, synthesizing therapy information for appropriate discharge planning, individual and group training, compensatory strategy, and tool development.
- Maintain timely and appropriate program participant / administrative and department documentation.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional code of ethics, and confidentiality.
- Attend programmatic meetings on request for team reports, policy setting, exchange of information, etc. as well as clinical meetings to exchange, discuss, and evaluate ongoing treatment programs.
- Serve on rehabilitation treatment team(s), communicating with physicians, clinical professionals / paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources as needed. Travel with participants on outings and appointments as needed.
Qualifications :
Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or Master’s Degree in related field.Two years’ experience preferred.CVRC & LPCC or LCSW applicants meet criteria.State licensure as required.Excellent communication and analytical skills with ability to work on multidisciplinary team.Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.Why Join Us?
