Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Counselor (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC-A, MA or MSW) to join our team! One who can provide care for a wide range of needs, but also has a specific area of specialty that they practice or are willing to grow in. The schedule for this position is flexible and specific to the clinician.

Responsibilities :

  • Do assessment and Diagnosis : The licensed counselor conducts psychosocial comprehensive evaluations to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, behavioral, and social needs. They utilize diagnostic tools and clinical interviews to gather relevant information and may employ standardized assessment instruments. Based on findings, they diagnose mental health conditions by the DSM-5 or ICD-10 criteria.

Providing evidence-based psychotherapy, delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to each specific client, drawing from approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and more.

Treatment Planning after assessment, collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans, outlining therapeutic goals, intervention strategies, and measurable outcomes. Ongoing review and adjustment ensure the treatment remains practical and relevant.

Documentation and Compliance : The provider will need to maintain accurate and confidential records, including assessments, interventions, progress notes, and outcomes, by legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Consultation and Collaboration : While working independently, the team will collaborate to provide support through peer supervision for comprehensive care.

Qualifications :

Clinical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and best practices for intervention.

Cultural Competency : Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and the ability to provide culturally responsive care. Knowledge of systemic inequities and their impact on mental health.

Communication : Proficient verbal and written communication for effective interaction with clients, families, and other professionals.

Ethical Decision-Making : Adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics and state licensure regulations, including issues of confidentiality, informed consent, and boundaries.

Problem-Solving : Creative and flexible approaches to addressing complex psychosocial challenges.

Empathy and Compassion : Genuine concern for clients' well-being and the ability to build trust and rapport.
