About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : 12-Hour Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : 2 years Cardiology experience required

License : Valid RN license (ND or compact state)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Must have a minimum of 2 years cardiology experience.
• Must work every other weekend and holiday.
• Must badge in and out at the facility.
• Must wear navy blue scrubs.

Description :

The unit provides comprehensive care for cardiac patients.

Nurses are responsible for maintaining provider orders and managing patient care.

Common procedures include chest tube insertions and titrating medications such as low-dose pressors.

Nurses will also perform foley catheter insertions.

The equipment utilized includes EPIC charting, Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps, and central monitoring systems.

Competency in central line care, chest tubes, foleys, and patient care following procedures is essential.

The patient population includes those with conditions such as CHF, atrial fibrillation, and post-procedural care.

Typical nurse-to-patient ratios vary based on shift and patient acuity, with common ratios of 1 : 4 to 1 : 5, and occasionally 1 : 3 for IMC patients.

The staff is supported by a charge nurse during day shifts to assist in patient management.

The unit cares for a mix of cardiac medical floor and IMC patients.

The team is dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients with cardiac diagnoses.
