Programming Manager
Care of Chan is driven to create memorable food events and purpose-driven experiences that create meaningful and impactful connections. We are seeking a Programming Manager to join our Creative team to create compelling event concepts that embody the creative vision of the agency as well as achieve our client's ambitious goals. The Programming Manager will be responsible for ideating all creative elements for a particular event or campaign (culinary talent, venue, furniture, design elements, music partners, etc) in collaboration with creative contributors, and spearheading the creation of client proposals that flawlessly illustrate the experience that we're pitching. The Programming Manager will also be responsible for creating and cultivating strong relationships with creative talent and vendors that contribute to our work, and ensuring that the Production team adheres to our creative standards through the lifecycle of each project. The Programming Manager will report to the Creative Director.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to :
- Execute the proposals for a selection of agency events and marketing programs, providing best recommendations based on understanding of the event's vision and purpose, research, company relationships and budget
- Ideate compelling event concepts and innovative experiences that bring the brand and event vision to life.
- Set clear event goals and align creative elements to meet client objectives.
- Manage contractors (Art Leads and Strategy Leads) who will contribute to creative proposals as needed
- Collaborate with and obtain approval from Creative Director on all proposals, to ensure creative vision for the event is consistent with agency standards and style
- Deliver proposals on-time with meticulous attention to format, grammar, and deck conventions; incorporate feedback into event proposals as requested
- Build and maintain relationships with creative talent, vendors, clients, and team members to secure necessary partnerships and resources
- In collaboration with the Strategy Leads and / or Senior Producers, perform initial outreach to creative partners and vendors for events, vetting for availability, cost, ability to fulfill necessary deliverables and whether they fit the event vision
- Execute clear and smooth handoff of creative programming concepts, partners and creative assets to Production team or Account Manager for execution
- Once an event is in production, work alongside the Production team to provide creative oversight on event execution. Ensure Creative Producers are meeting agency standards, and escalating creative reviews and approvals to Creative Director
- Attend events to ensure Creative Production is being executed to agency standards as needed
Editorial :
Maintain creative vendor directories : own collection, input, and upkeep of specs, contact information, pricing, etc.Work with social and editorial teams on content ideas to promote the events, such as social media posts and captions, case studies and event articles.Attend events to ensure the social and content teams get appropriate photo assets to promote the event on owned channels, online, on socials and in agency decks.Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event concepting, brand strategy, or creative development; ideally within an agency, cultural institution, or hospitality-driven environment.Strong research and trend-spotting instincts : attuned to emerging talent, cultural moments, and industry shifts in food, fashion, and art / design.Strong knowledge of current food and event industry trends, chefs and restaurants both locally and internationallyProven ability to translate brand goals and cultural insight into event narratives and compelling creative proposals.Strong copy writing and storytelling skills : able to craft narratives, program outlines, and presentation decks that inspire both internal teams and clients.Deep understanding of experiential formats (e.g., dinners, festivals, pop-ups, brand activations, partnerships, residencies) and how to bring ideas to life within real-world constraints.Experience curating venues, talent, and creative collaborators (chefs, artists, designers, musicians, speakers, etc.) with an eye for cultural relevance and alignment to brand values.Comfortable working collaboratively with design, production, and accounts teams to develop concepts that are both creative and feasible.Excellent presentation and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to confidently pitch ideas and respond to feedback in real time.Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.This role is a hybrid position, based in the New York metro area. Our team is required to work from our office in Lower Manhattan three days per week, in addition to onsite event requirements (willing to travel occasionally).

The base salary range for this role is $75,000.00 - $100,000.00.
In accordance with NY law, the range provided is Care of Chan's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, and skills.
