Our hiring partner, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a
Marketing and Business Development Analyst
to join their growing Marketing Department. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, this is an excellent opportunity for an analytically driven marketing professional to play a critical role in shaping business development strategies, supporting client engagement, and enhancing the firms market positioning.
Location : Hackensack, NJ (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth market research, competitive intelligence, and industry analysis to identify new opportunities and support practice group strategies.
Produce detailed intelligence reports on clients, prospects, competitors, and market trends.
Track and report on legal market developments, target industries, and competitor activity.
Provide data and analytics-driven insights to support marketing and business development initiatives.
Manage and improve data input into the firms CRM and experience databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Support proposal and RFP responses, creating tailored pitch materials and presentations aligned with firm priorities.
Maintain and enhance marketing collateral, ensuring all materials are on brand and impactful.
Collaborate with attorneys, practice group leaders, and marketing colleagues to execute business development initiatives.
Track and analyze pitch / proposal results to recommend improvements and growth opportunities.
Lead submissions for key legal rankings and awards, working with external PR partners where necessary.
Provide proactive recommendations for new business opportunities and creative outreach approaches.
Support the marketing team during peak periods or absences to ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or research / analytics.
Prior experience in a law firm is highly preferred.
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with tools such as Nexl, Foundations, Bloomberg Law, and Dun & Bradstreet is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
Willingness to travel occasionally between offices.
