Sr. Java / Legacy Fullstack Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a  Sr. Java / Legacy Engineer  to join a leader in the financial industry. The  Sr. Java / Legacy Engineer  will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems built in Java while supporting the transition to newer technologies. The Sr. Fullstack / Legacy Engineer needs to be able to work a hybrid schedule ( 3 days on site) in Cary, NC.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Java / Legacy Engineer include :

• Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications critical to business operations
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to support modernization efforts
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate legacy systems with modern platforms
• Optimize SQL queries and database interactions for performance and reliability
