Responsibilities

Division Sales Manager is responsible for delivering volume sales growth for a geographically focused territory. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this leadership position drives the development, deployment, and execution of a Territory Sales Strategy aligned with the North America Sales vision, delivering sales revenues within a specified region.

The Division Sales Manager at Hach ensures the development of a high performing sales organization that achieves profitable volume growth and captures market share while ensuring the execution of KPIs. You will drive in-person and virtual customer interactions to build funnel, promote new logo prospecting, existing customer account management, and new project pursuit.

Territory : Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota & Northern Idaho.

Travel : 75% in territory traveling with sellers; usually on the road Tue–Thu.

What will I do in this role?

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of 5-8 municipal and industrial front line sellers and inside sellers. Develop talent through coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Develop a collaborative territory sales strategy that drives profitable volume growth of Hach’s products and services.
  • Drive performance accountability through use of performance management tools. Achieve assigned financial and strategic objectives.
  • Proactively support change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement, serving as a role model for innovation and transformation.
  • Utilize standard work and Monthly Forecast and Funnel Review process to execute territory growth strategy.
  • Develop Annual Sales Plans and Growth Bridges aligned with Hach, Strategic Initiatives deployed to Territory Level with clear Results Targets and Action Plans for each Sales Representative.
  • Participate in Key Account Reviews as appropriate; establish and maintain relationships with key customers in the Division, facilitating team efforts to maximize opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with engineering firms and other accounts that indirectly influence the buying decisions of the customer.
  • Collect and report information on all competitive activity, business opportunities, sales trends and results within the assigned market providing input during monthly business review.

  • Are you qualified?

  • BA, BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of progressive sales experience within the water industry, including field / inside sales and leadership roles in municipal and industrial markets.
  • Formal sales training is preferred with strong preference given to exposure to value selling concepts and training in Question Based Selling, Sandler, and other sales methodologies.
  • Strong sales operational background leveraging CRM (Salesforce).
  • Do you have these competencies?

  • Ability to build engagement across an in-person and virtual sales team.
  • Affinity for developing sales talent through coaching, mentoring, and proactively finding opportunities for associates to achieve career progression.
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen.

    The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

    The compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $125,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
