Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Emergency Department.

The facility has 12 monitored and 5 vertical care beds as a free-standing emergency department.

There is no trauma designation.

The facility offers 24 / 7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services.

Limited STAT outpatient imaging is provided during weekdays, with a maximum of 6 patients per day.

The average number of ED visits per day is 75 to 80.

There is a 10% to 15% admit rate for patients.

The department primarily handles patients of all ages, focusing on common ED diagnoses and behavioral health issues.

While traveler experience is preferred, first-time travelers may still be considered.

Ratios for patient care are 1 RN to 4 patients.

On nights, 4 RNs report for a 12-hour shift.

All clinicians, including RNs, respiratory therapists, and imaging staff, work collaboratively within the unit.

Charge RNs may not have patients depending on staffing and volume needs.

Respiratory therapy is available in-house 24 / 7 and has an expanded scope of practice.

The staffing and support include RNs and respiratory therapists who are cross-trained to assist in patient care.

Floating staff may be required to different facilities within the region.

Travelers can expect to work approximately 75% of holidays and must be flexible with scheduling, including weekend rotations.

The schedule follows a 6-week cycle and can accommodate up to 6 days off, excluding holiday weeks.
