Job Description

As a pole loading analysis technician on the telecom team, you will be responsible for reviewing aerial fiber pole attachments via pole loading analysis (PLA) data, review make-ready designs to ensure they meet National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements, quality control (QC) of post-construction installed aerial fiber to ensure the make-ready plans were completed as designed.

This role will require travel to job sites for observation or field work, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Associate / bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the NESC pertaining to aerial fiber attachment requirements and clearances is required.
  • Knowledge of aerial fiber pole loading review and analysis, is required.
  • Knowledge of make-ready design, review, and analysis is required.
  • Knowledge of aerial fiber pole loading review and analysis, is required.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth KMZ files is preferred, not required.
  • Knowledge of IKE data collection and Pole Foreman, O-Calc and Katapult is preferred, not required.
  • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software products is preferred, not required.
