Overall Responsibility :
An Instrument Operator 1's primary responsibility is the support of a Survey Party Chief through efficient project production. Must be self-motivated individual that works well in a team-oriented environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility :
- Basic understanding of Boundary resolution and associated research.
- Basic understanding of Topographic Mapping.
- Basic Route Surveying knowledge.
- Basic skill level in all related surveying instruments, data collectors and other peripheral surveying tools.
- Proficient client skills understanding that everyone we meet may be a potential client.
- Proficient communications and relationship building skills.
- When required, work overtime, third shifts and out of town projecting a high level of flexibility.
- Present yourselves as professionals at all times.
- A thorough understanding of SEI surveying policies and procedures.
- Familiar with SEI safety policies and procedures
- Error free data, eliminating the need to "Go back"
- Keep your work truck stocked with the required tools at all times.
- Basic understanding of and ability to create field sketches and notes.
- Anticipate how, when, where, Crew Chief needs assistance
- Accurately record time spent on each task each day.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Experience, Proficiencies, Skills and Certifications :
Valid Georgia Driver's License with a good driving record, ability to pass a Security Background check, base knowledge of various survey procedures. Desire to gain additional knowledge and training.
