Electrical Engineer

This position is responsible for designing and laying out medium voltage electrical systems for industrial applications. Duties include creating electrical one-line diagrams, selecting appropriate equipment and components, and generating bills of materials (BOMs) for procurement and construction. What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Design and layout medium voltage electrical systems for industrial applications.
• Create electrical one-line diagrams and related design documentation.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment and components to meet project specifications.
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs) for procurement and construction.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, and HVAC teams to ensure system integration.
• Review and verify technical drawings, calculations, and design compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, safety requirements, and company standards. What Are the Requirements of the Job?
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical system design, preferably in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of medium voltage systems, equipment selection, and load calculations.
• Proficiency with CAD software and electrical design tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience
