POSITION OVERVIEW :

An Ivarson Regional Account Manager will provide Ivarson customers a world class sales experience, and, under the direction of the Sales Manager, is responsible for cultivating, maintaining, and growing relationships with both new and existing customers alike.

The Regional Account Manager is charged with providing unique and customized customer experiences through responsive customer service offerings that align with the customer’s vision for their future business.

These services include, but are not limited to, customer site visits, preparing equipment quotes, processing customer orders, addressing and resolving customer inquiries and problems, tracking job statuses, and resolving customer issues through need-based selling tactics.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES, GOALS, AND ACCOUNTABILITY

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Prepare budgetary and final quotations with delivery dates, pricing, etc., and prepare orders subject to the approval of the company.
  • Actively engage customers, both on the phone and in person, located within your assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers by ensuring the best possible customer satisfaction by providing expertise in the analysis of customer’s equipment, systems, and processing needs.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding the status of open jobs to customers, relaying pertinent information to both customer and in-house personnel to ensure timely delivery of equipment.

Promptly create and deliver quotes to customers, based upon the applicable workflows.

  • Prepare all assigned reports and correspondence accurately and on time, to include Sales Visit Reports, expense reports, customer contacts, territory overviews, and any additional situation-dependent reports.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, problems, and complaints regarding products, services, billing, applications, etc.
  • Address and resolve complaints and make recommendations regarding best practices for how to resolve the issues now and how to avoid similar issues in the future.
  • Create and maintain customer files for all accounts within assigned customer base.
  • Enter all required information into the computerized systems to create and maintain the customer database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare documents, letters, correspondence, quotes, etc. as needed.

  • Act as liaison between Ivarson and our customer base by having smart business discussions on current state of the business, sales opportunities presented by Parts Sales, Service Reps, and other Ivarson personnel, and identify potential sales opportunities through the Sales Pipeline.
  • Coordinate and assist with the services of the Company’s technical staff to determine customers’ needs and preparation of quotations as needed.

Qualifications

A four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales Engineering or a technical field along with 3+ years experience in Sales / Account Management.

10+ years of related experience and proven performance in Sales / Account Management may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.

  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough. A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive.
  • Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload : From heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads -to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects.
  • Travel is a requirement of the job, and the extent, length, and location of travel will vary depending on the demand. Travel will consist of customer site visits, off-site meetings, conference attendance, training, and the like.

Overall travel will consist of 50-60% of working time, depending on territory assignment, sales volume, conference schedule, and customer demand.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects.
  • Work ethics that complement Ivarson’s long-standing culture of high integrity throughout all areas of internal and external business activity.
  • Willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Competent with computer software such as, AutoCAD, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of MRP / ERP / CRM systems.
  • Must be capable of lifting 15 pounds while standing, bent 45 at the waist.
